Authority Solutions® is a digital marketing agency that focuses on Web Design and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in order to increase revenue for it’s clients by bringing new prospects to them through the Internet. The company was founded in 2014 and has grown year over year and has worked with remote workers in the Philippines since it began. Authority Solutions® focuses on marketing to the Medical and Legal industries but also has an array of other types of clients as well that find them or get referred in. The company plans to 3X its revenue in the next 12 months and is looking for the right team to accomplish this together.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a seasoned web developer with a distinct expertise in the Oxygen development environment. Our ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of Oxygen with a solid foundation in CSS, HTML, PHP, and Javascript, ensuring the translation of intricate designs into responsive, user-friendly websites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Implement web designs precisely for a diverse range of industries using the Oxygen builder.
– Efficiently code design elements, ensuring compatibility and responsiveness.
– Customize and develop functionalities using plugins as needed.
– Collaborate with the design team to transform UI/UX designs into functional websites.
– Apply SEO On-Page best practices to optimize website performance and discoverability.
1. Proficiency with CMS Platforms:
In-depth experience with content management systems, preferably with Oxygen.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve pagination issues related to “Posts Per Page” settings.
Familiarity with templates, elements, and nesting structures in Oxygen for optimization.
2. SEO Best Practices:
Understanding of DOM size and its implications for SEO.
Capabilities to evaluate and reduce large DOM size by optimizing page elements.
3. Strong Web Debugging Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot a range of HTTP status codes including, but not limited to:
– 200 (OK)
– 403 (Forbidden)
– 418 (I’m a Teapot)
– 500 (Internal Server Error)
– 503 (Service Unavailable)
– 504 (Gateway Timeout)
– Use of browser tools and the console tab for diagnostic purposes.
4. Server and Hosting Proficiency:
– Familiarity with the SimpleXML PHP module and its installation.
– Experience liaising with hosting providers for error log diagnostics and issue resolution.
– Understanding of server resources and their impact on site performance.
5. Code Evaluation and Management:
– Proficiency in handling Code Block elements within Oxygen.
– Ability to identify and rectify incorrect code that might hinder platform functionalities.
6. Plugin Management:
– Experience in running Plugin Conflict Tests to identify and resolve issues.
– Knowledge of common plugins that might conflict with CMS platforms like Oxygen.
7. Comprehensive Error Handling:
– Skills in addressing issues related to multiple elements having the same ID on a page.
– Experience in resolving AJAX timeout errors, template data loading failures, and other related issues.
8. Advanced PHP Knowledge:
– Familiarity with PHP v8x and its compatibility with platforms like Oxygen v4.0.
– Understanding and experience in dealing with PHP modules, especially SimpleXML.
9. Collaborative Skills:
– Ability to work with support teams, taking screenshots and providing necessary details for troubleshooting.
– Experience in communicating with web hosts and other external parties for issue resolution.
10. Continuous Learning:
– Familiarity with resources like for further information on HTTP status codes and other technical details.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web development.
– Proficiency in CSS, HTML, PHP, and Javascript.
– Expertise in WordPress with a focus on the Oxygen builder. Familiarity with Elementor Builder is a bonus.
– A track record of implementing web designs across various industries.
– Knowledge of SEO On-Page best practices is an advantage, but not mandatory.
– Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
WORK SCHEDULE & HOLIDAYS
– All staff work a split shift so we can communicate on pertinent tasks or have team meetings as needed with the US leadership.
– As a company we observe all US holidays, as well as PH public holidays (New Year’s Day, Lunar New Year, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Bataan Day, Labour Day, Phillippine s Independence Day, National Heroes’ Day, Bonifacio Day, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Christmas Day, Rizal Day). We work hard and value time with our families.
– After 90 day probationary period all staff qualify for leave with proper notice based on employee handbook regulations
