WordPress Plugin Developer

We need a WordPress Developer (software development, not website building using existing components), typically plugin development, someone with a great technical background in PHP, MySQL, database modeling and AJAX + Javascript).

Required skills (minimum):

* PHP
* MySQL
* Normalization of database tables up to BCNF.
* WordPress development (development of WordPress plugins)
* JSON
* API calls

First project:
Build a framework which is implemented as a WordPress plugin.

This project is sprung out of a creative idea that I have had. It can become either a major success or a total failure. No matter what you will of course get paid. I want a creative mind, a great WordPress plugin developer. You might be a clear shining star already or you are someone who wants to rise to the stars. Either way, your mind is probably as “messed up” and creative as my mind – you love what you do. You want to implement what no one else has ever done before and you are eager to see how things will go, once this site has run for 6 months.

I do NOT want a website builder, someone who calls themselves a WordPress developer but in reality is a builder who uses existing components and build website. I do that myself, it’s almost done. It’s the same for SEO and digital marketing. No, I want a hard core developer who gets excited by solving problems or requirements with great software development for WordPress plugins.

I have had an Indian developer who seemed to have understood what I wanted from the start, but later turned out to not understand much at all. I used to be a software developer myself some 20 years ago or so, so it really IS strange to have to tell active software developers how to implement stuff. I want someone else, someone much better than that and most of all much better than me because I suck at it (but I will do reviews of your code, database and architecture). I will be glad to inject and explain my creative ideas and you will shape them into great software. This might become a life changing project – OR become a total failure. 🙂 Exciting, huh!? 😀

The users of the framework are registered WP Users with additional characteristics in the form of a
table called ServiceUsers. Such users can access all services (functionality made available via APIs,
these are plugins to the “Tics” framework (this is the name for it) ) if they have enough
of credits in their personal depot. If they don’t, they can earn more credits by performing certain tasks provided by a
supplier. There is a 19 page long requirements specification for this including a scenario on how it is supposed to be used.
This might sound like a walk in the park, but the reality is that there are currently 11 tables. A need for 4-5 cron jobs, callbacks, an interface for extensions etc that can be executed in this. NO custom post types! If you don’t know how to secure consistency in a relational database, then just skip this job description and move on to the next advertised job.

Other projects:

Create the extensions that will provide the services needed to the first project above.
Loads of additional WP plugins for different purposes.
