Job Description

We are hiring a talented and skilled WordPress Designer/Technical Support position with a PHP background, Javascript jQuery experience, an SEO mindset, and an understanding of UI/UX. The qualified candidate will handle website design, programming, and tech support for our internal WordPress websites as well as our clients’ websites. This will be a part-time 10-40 hour a week position, depending on workload. This job requires working the same hours as the rest of the team between the hours of 9 am to 6 pm United States CST (Houston, Texas Time Zone).

Responsibilities

* Creating, designing, and managing WordPress-based websites
* Analyze, review, and implement revisions to websites
* Optimizing for SEO
* Experienced working with Google (Analytics, My Business, Google Ads…)
* An ability to communicate well with the team, clients, and management on strategy/project development, timelines, and results
* Provide technical support to our clients regarding their website and assist the team with other technical aspects of our daily operation
* Experience generating and optimizing online content for search
* Programming Widgets
* Editing PHP/Twig Templates
* Integrating IDX Broker to a WordPress website
* Debugging errors
* Tweaking Elements using Javascript/jQuery
* Creating Custom Form Functionalities
* Creating Widgets using an External API

Requirements

* Be an expert in all things WordPress – from design to troubleshooting
* Knowledge of WordPress Builders like Divi, Elementor, and Beaver Builder
* Ability to think creatively and strategically identify and resolve issues
* Understanding of SEO and Social Media integration into websites
* Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
* Good understanding in “Responsive” WordPress websites, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and traditional HTML and HTML5
* Writing step-by-step directions on how to do different tasks for non-tech-savvy clients, including screenshots
* Knowledge or experience with Trello
* Attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be a self-starter, work well independently and with little supervision
* You are required to have a quiet home office, dependable power, and internet as well as backup plans for both
