WordPress/Shopify/SEO/Tech Support Position

HoopJumper is hiring a skilled WordPress Expert and Technical Support position with talents including creating and modifying Shopify websites, and years of technical support and SEO experience.

The qualified candidate will handle website design, programming and tech support for our internal WordPress websites as well as our clients’ websites. This will be a 20-40 hour a week position. This job requires working the same hours as the rest of the Philippines-based team between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm United States CST (Houston, Texas Central Time Zone), Monday through Thursday (4-day workweek), with Friday, if needed.

Responsibilities

Creating attractive modern WordPress based websites
Experience with Divi Theme (show examples)
Creating and Managing Shopify websites
Creating and Managing Square Space websites
SEO Optimization Expertise using Yoast Premium SEO
Detail oriented with Tracking Time spent on each task so our clients are billed accurately for our time spent
Creating and Updateing Gravity Forms
ChatGPT acumen for creating SEO terms and text
An ability to communicate well with the team, clients and management on strategy/project development, timelines and results
A history of being dependable and on time so the whole team runs smoothly
Provide technical support to our clients regarding their website and assist the team with other technical aspects of our daily operation
Programming Widgets
Editing PHP/Twig Templates
Integrating IDX Broker to a WordPress website
Debugging errors
Tweaking Elements using Javascript/jQuery
Creating Custom Form Functionalities
Creating Widgets using an External API
Zapier acumen

Requirements

Be an expert in all things WordPress – from design to troubleshooting
Knowledge of WordPress Builders like Divi, Elementor and Beaver Builder
Ability to think creatively and strategically identify and resolve issues
Understanding of SEO and Social Media integration into websites
Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
Good understanding in “Responsive” WordPress websites, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and traditional HTML and HTML5
Writing step by step directions on how to do different tasks for non-tech savvy clients, including screenshots
Attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Not needing to be micromanaged or babysat
You are required to have a quiet home office, dependable power and internet as well as having back up plans for both
Able to work in a busy environment with a team
