SUMMARY

This is a remote position that requires a stable, high-speed internet connection, and must be able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Eastern.

Base Coat Marketing is looking for a creative, highly-motivated, badass Web Professional to join our fast-growing digital marketing agency. You’ll have direct responsibility for the creation, design, development, and maintenance of 50+ WordPress websites including various integrations across third-party services and partners. This position is responsible for designing and building WordPress websites on the fly while ensuring all on-page search engine optimization ranking factors are accounted for.

This role requires someone who can learn fast, who is self-motivated, organized, and has an excellent attention to detail.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

– WordPress – Create, manage, update, and debug WordPress sites. Migrate existing WordPress sites to WP Engine from third-party hosts.

– DNS – Point client domains to Cloudflare, integrate with WP Engine, setup staging sites and SSL certificates.

– Third-Party Integrations – Setup and configure third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Cloudflare, GoHighLevel, Zapier + API connections, etc.

– Website Design – Quickly create website template mockups using only a client’s logo.

– Search Engine Optimization – Account for all on-site ranking factors that could impact a website’s ability to rank organically. This includes but is not limited to improving page speed, identifying missing title/meta/alt tags, resolving 404 errors, implementing 301 redirects, etc.

– Landing Page Design/Development – Build out landing pages for marketing campaigns, implement on-site SEO, and publish provided content to pages, blogs, and more.

– Standard Operating Procedures – Work within company SOPs while also communicating potential roadblocks or procedures we could implement to improve the way we work.

– Support – Directly support the Fulfillment Team as needed. This includes executing fulfillment tasks that may fall outside of our SOPs to meet deadlines and ensure positive client results.

– Internal Communication – Communicate clearly, promptly, and concisely with the internal team members and third-party partners via email, Slack, Zoom, and phone.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

– Attention to Detail – Focused attention to detail, excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure and tight timelines is required for this position.

– Problem Solving – An advanced drive to identify problems and proactively test and implement solutions is required.

– Communication Skills – Must be able to communicate in all areas of the business at the highest levels. Must be able to effectively present information to team members and managers.

– Passion/Attitude – Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies. A willingness to work in a collaborative environment and go the extra mile. A positive mindset is a requirement.

– Web Development – 3-5 years of professional WordPress development experience is required. Experience taking websites live by connecting domain and hosting platforms together along with configuring DNS and SSL certificates.

– Web Design – Proven work experience as a web designer with a strong portfolio.

– SEO – Strong knowledge of SEO best practices with proven success incorporating these strategies into new and existing web sites.

– Marketing – At least 3 years of digital marketing experience is preferred for this position, including experience with website analytics, social media tools, and other online marketing strategies/systems.

– Education – College degree with a focus on Computer Science or Business Management is preferred.

JOB TYPE AND COMPENSATION

– Full-Time – Salary – Pay is based on experience. Bonuses and raises may be issued on an annual basis based on performance.

– Advancement – Once this position is mastered, there is an opportunity to advance to the administrative side of this department.

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday – 8am-5pm EDT
Additional hours may be required to ensure the successful outcome of client results and that deadlines are met.
