Job Summary:
Looking for a skilled and adaptable individual to serve as a virtual assistant and writer for our international trade newsletter. As a writer and virtual assistant, you will be responsible for creating engaging content and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the newsletter. This role requires a combination of strong writing skills, knowledge of international trade, and proficiency in administrative tasks to effectively assist in managing the newsletter’s operations remotely.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Produce well-researched and compelling articles on various topics related to international trade, including trade policies, market trends, import/export regulations, and industry updates. Ensure that the content aligns with the newsletter’s objectives and maintains a consistent tone and style.
Newsletter Management: Collaborate with the editorial team to plan, develop, and organize the newsletter’s content. Assist in scheduling, formatting, and proofreading articles to ensure accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
Email Management: Handle incoming emails, inquiries, and subscriber requests promptly and professionally. Manage the newsletter’s email distribution list, ensuring subscribers receive newsletters and updates in a timely manner.
Research and Fact-Checking: Conduct thorough research on international trade topics to gather accurate and up-to-date information for content creation. Verify facts, statistics, and data from reliable sources and maintain a repository of reference materials.
Calendar and Task Management: Assist in maintaining an editorial calendar to plan and track content creation, publication dates, and deadlines. Coordinate with the team to ensure timely execution of tasks and monitor progress.
Social Media Support: Assist in promoting the newsletter and engaging with subscribers on social media platforms. Monitor and respond to comments, questions, and feedback to foster an active and vibrant community.
Data Analysis: Help analyze newsletter performance metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, and subscriber engagement. Provide insights and suggestions for improving content and maximizing readership.
Qualifications:
Excellent Writing Skills: Strong command of written English, with the ability to produce well-crafted and engaging content. Attention to detail in grammar, punctuation, and overall writing quality.
International Trade Knowledge: Familiarity with international trade principles, policies, and industry trends. Understanding of trade agreements, customs procedures, and global market dynamics is advantageous.
Administrative Proficiency: Ability to handle administrative tasks effectively, including email management, calendar organization, and task coordination. Experience with project management tools and platforms is a plus.
