Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled writer/development editor to collaborate with our publishing team in the realm of nonfiction book development. This is a part-time opportunity with the potential to transition to full-time, contingent upon the applicant’s writing skills and capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and Analysis: Thoroughly investigate and analyze popular nonfiction publications, analyzing their structures, styles, and tones to extract valuable insights.

• Comprehensive Book Outlines: Craft engaging and comprehensive book outlines based on meticulous research, ensuring a clear and compelling narrative structure.

• Chapter Blueprinting: Develop detailed chapter outlines, rooted in research to create impactful content.

• Visual Elements: Identify the necessity for graphical or illustrative elements to aid with key concepts within the book.

• Reader Preferences: Determine niche/reader preferences by evaluating and dissecting reader feedback and comments.

• Content Generation: Contribute to the writing process by either creating original content or enhancing existing material.

• Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other contributors to the book project, including illustrators, ghostwriters, and graphic designers, ensuring their work aligns seamlessly with the book’s overarching vision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong writing skills
• Strong time management skills and able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
• Reliable high speed Internet connection
