Job Description:
As an Xactimate Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our operations by estimating project costs using Xactimate software, with a specific focus on exterior projects stemming from hail and wind damage. You will work with project managers, insurance adjusters, and clients to provide accurate, detailed estimates that ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Creating detailed project estimates using Xactimate software, specializing in exterior damage due to hail and wind.
Leveraging your expertise in the field to negotiate and agree on repair costs with insurance adjusters.
Providing clear, consistent communication with project managers and clients regarding project cost estimates.
Submitting for all building permits and researching local building codes to ensure estimates include any required upgrades.
Reviewing photos taken by inspectors to ensure all damage is accounted for.
Using Google Earth and other tools to ensure everything that needs to be included is accounted for.
Conducting materials orders take-offs.
Continually updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an estimator, with specific experience in the roofing industry.
Extensive experience writing exterior estimates for hail and wind-related insurance claims is essential.
Proficiency with Xactimate software.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential costs accurately.
Proven ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
