Xero Bookkeeper

Centene Construction is a small UK based construction company with big plans for rapid expansion nationwide. We are committed to creating an amazing management and back office team as they will play a key role in executing the expansion plans. We are therefore not just looking for a Bookkeeper to fill a vacancy in the business. This position is a stepping stone to joining a cutting edge modern construction and property development company that will give the right person plenty of opportunities to train and grow with the business.

As you review the description, we welcome any questions you may have about the position or our business. This is a full-time position as we want to train and integrate you in to the business rapidly. There are possibilities for raises based upon work performance. Team members qualify for the 13th month after they’ve done at least three months service.

We require an experienced person who can lead themselves with minimal supervision. As well as being strong “mathematically” a good level of “English grammar” is also a requirement as you will be communicating directly with our site teams, suppliers and possibly even clients via email.

Skills are something that can be learned and perfected over time. The following three qualities are a requirement for the successful candidate:

Integrity, Commitment and Desire to Learn

Integrity. You are a good fit if you can be honest with your fellow team members. Open communication and honesty are paramount to myself and the team. If you aren’t able to hit a deadline or made a mistake, be upfront about it, we are all human after all.

Commitment. We’ve had freelancers for one project and others for over 5 years. We are looking for someone who is looking for a long term relationship.

Desire to Learn. We are a small team but growing really fast. We want people who are open to learning new skills and taking on new projects.
