Job Overview:

We’re in search of a creative Scriptwriter and Content Creator to generate compelling scripts for our YouTube channel. The ideal candidate should know how to craft engaging narratives, have a solid understanding of the YouTube platform and its viewers, and can write scripts for videos lasting between 10-12 minutes. They should also be capable of integrating directions for b-roll footage, cut scenes, and other multimedia elements.

The successful candidate will be tasked with sourcing information and writing scripts based on video ideas provided. They should be able to capture the essence of our speaker’s communication style, ensuring our voice remains consistent and relatable across all videos. This remote role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and the capacity to produce 3-5 scripts per week.

Skills:

Scriptwriting Expertise: The ability to create engaging, high-quality scripts for YouTube videos is crucial. This includes understanding the dynamics of storytelling and pacing, and incorporating multimedia cues for b-roll and cut scenes. The candidate should also be able to adjust their writing to match the speaker’s voice and style.

Research Skills: Candidates must have strong research skills to gather and verify information needed for the video content. This includes understanding and identifying credible sources, extracting key details, and using this information to create compelling narratives.

Understanding of YouTube Algorithms and SEO: A deep understanding of how YouTube’s algorithms work and proficiency in SEO best practices is vital. The scriptwriter should be capable of writing content that’s not just engaging but also searchable and discoverable, maximizing reach and engagement.
Job Responsibilities:

Write 2-4 engaging scripts per week for 10-12-minute YouTube videos based on provided video ideas.

– Source information and conduct research to create compelling narratives.
– Incorporate directions for b-roll footage, cut scenes, and other multimedia elements in scripts.
– Ensure scripts reflect the unique style and brand voice of the speaker.
– Collaborate with video editors and producers for smooth script execution.
– Meet production deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends and content strategies.
– Regularly review content performance metrics to guide future scripts.

Qualifications:
– Proven experience in scriptwriting, preferably for YouTube or other video platforms.
– Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail.
– Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools.
– Solid understanding of YouTube algorithms and audience behavior.
– Capable of capturing and replicating the speaker’s style and tone.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks at once.
– Proficiency with Google Suite and other content management tools.

SALARY: $180-300 Starting, with the potential to grow dependent on results from scripts.
