Role Overview:
As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual storytelling of our brand and our clients. You’ll be responsible for editing compelling long-form content for YouTube and crafting engaging short-form talking head style reels. Your expertise will bring stories to life, connecting our audience with the content in impactful ways.
Responsibilities:
Long Form YouTube Content Editing:
Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
Ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the video according to the director’s specifications.
Short Form Content Creation:
Produce short-form talking head style reels for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Edit content to be engaging, concise, and tailored to the platform and audience demographics.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with our content team to understand the requirements and vision for each project.
Provide technical support for the media file management system, ensuring all content is organized and accessible.
Quality Control:
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
Creative Input:
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
Create rough and final cuts, ensuring each video aligns with the overall content strategy.
Requirements:
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
Strong sense of timing and visual awareness.
Ability to understand and implement brand guidelines in video content.
A keen eye for detail and a critical mind.
Creativity and a passionate interest in film and video editing.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as this role involves working with different teams to produce the final product.
Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with After Effects and motion graphics.
Previous experience editing long-form content for YouTube and short-form content for social media platforms.
Familiarity with color grading, audio editing, and other post-production processes.
A portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creativity.
