Join us as a Thumbnail Designer and play a pivotal role in attracting more viewers to our videos on the Jordan Platten YouTube Channel (/jordanplatten). You’ll be both generating design concepts for new uploads and redesigning thumbnails for old videos.
Key Requirements:
1. Graphic Design Skills:
– Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other relevant tools.
– Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and composition.
2. Creativity:
– Ability to generate creative and visually appealing thumbnail concepts that attract viewers’ attention.
– Stay updated on design trends and implement innovative ideas in thumbnail creation.
3. Understanding of YouTube Platform:
– Knowledge of YouTube’s guidelines and best practices for thumbnails.
– Awareness of the importance of thumbnails in increasing click-through rates (CTR) and engagement.
4. Communication Skills:
– Ability to communicate effectively with Content Manager to understand their vision and requirements for thumbnails.
– Willingness to incorporate feedback and make revisions based on input from the Content Manager.
5. Time Management:
– Efficient time management skills to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple thumbnail design projects simultaneously.
6. Adaptability:
– Willingness to adapt to changes in design requirements or branding guidelines.
– Flexibility to work on different types of content, ranging from various genres to different target audiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Thumbnail Design:
– Create visually compelling and relevant thumbnails for YouTube videos.
– Tailor designs to align with the content, audience, and branding of the channel.
2. Collaboration:
– Collaborate with video editors, script writers and other team members to understand the video content and design needs.
– Incorporate feedback and make adjustments to thumbnails based on input from the Content Manager.
3. Brand Consistency:
– Ensure that thumbnails maintain consistency with the overall branding of the YouTube channel.
– Adhere to any established style guides or design principles.
4. Testing and Analysis:
– Stay informed about YouTube’s algorithm changes and conduct A/B testing on thumbnails to optimize click-through rates.
– Analyze performance data and adjust thumbnail strategies accordingly.
5. Deadline Management:
– Manage time effectively to deliver thumbnails within specified deadlines.
– Communicate proactively if there are challenges in meeting deadlines.
6. Quality Assurance:
– Ensure that thumbnails are of high quality and resolution for optimal visual appeal on various devices and screen sizes.
