Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality videos that align with our channel’s brand and vision. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, with an emphasis on availability to get breaking news out quickly. The role is part-time for now, but as the channel grows, there is potential for full-time and higher salary.
Responsibilities:
– Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos for YouTube
– Collaborate with the content creator to understand the vision and direction for each video
– Enhance video content with graphics, sound effects, music, and other elements
– Ensure the final product is consistent with our brand guidelines and standards
– Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on schedule
– Be available to edit and publish videos quickly for breaking news
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably for YouTube channels
– Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
– Strong understanding of YouTube’s platform, algorithms, and best practices
– Excellent storytelling skills and a keen eye for detail
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Excellent communication skills and English language
– A passion for legal content and the ability to understand complex legal topics is a plus
– Flexibility and availability to respond to breaking news
