YouTube Video Editor

Hello, my name is Joey. A travel vlogger and vanlifer from USA with over 60k followers online across platforms.

I am hiring a full-time Youtube Video editor to create content for my travel youtube. As an editor, you will be required to take 30-50mins+ of raw footage and turn it into an engaging 15-minute Youtube video. Additionally, you will be required to create Reels and short-form content to distribute among the social media channels.

I’m mainly looking for someone to edit my longform videos. I have a few different styles of videos on my channel from talking head educational videos to vlogs of travel adventures. I don’t need any super fancy motion graphics but maybe potentially some simple transitions and titles and color grading. The style is going to be more simple and authentic.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the creative vision for content
Create, review and edit videos
Editing and post-production of video content, including colour correction, audio mixing, and special effects
Ensuring all videos meet technical and quality standards
Keeping up with current trends and best practices in video editing and production
Provide feedback to NAME and the team on ways to improve and enhance videos

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a video editor
Strong writing and editing skills
Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in short from content
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends
Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
Experience working with a variety of video formats and codecs
Experience with colour correction and audio mixing
