What is this position about?
This role is for a YouTube Content Creator who will be responsible for generating video content that complements our existing articles. The content will range from sports highlights to animal encounters and other trending topics.
How does it fit into our business?
The YouTube channel aims to serve as an extension of our website, driving traffic and engagement to both platforms. The videos will be embedded in our blog posts and will be designed to boost our search engine rankings. This synergy will help us maximize ad revenue and user engagement across both platforms.
What Would Success Look Like
– Input Metrics: The number of videos produced per week will serve as an initial KPI.
– Output Metrics: The number of views garnered by the videos.
– Adherence to Schedule: Consistency in uploading according to the agreed-upon schedule.
– Communication: Openness to new ideas, improvements, and a strong commitment to quality and deadlines.
Future Growth Options
The initial role has the potential to evolve into a managerial position overseeing multiple YouTube channels. This would involve coordinating with other video editors, ensuring quality, and even contributing to the creative process. This role would come with increased responsibilities and, correspondingly, higher pay.
Job Requirements:
– High proficiency in English is mandatory. Additional languages, even at a basic level, are a plus but not a requirement.
– Prior experience in video editing and YouTube management will be beneficial.
– Strong communication skills.
– Ability to work full-time.
